The image below shows the left panel of the Japanese print that is on the wall in the Sunroom panorama. The title of the print, "Seashore Moon Party", is in the upper-right corner of the print. The text on the bottom of the print gives the publisher's name and address, the delivery date (March 12, 1886), the artist's name (Hashimoto), and another person's name, possibly the person who did the calligraphy. An interesting feature of this print is that it shows a foreign sea captain at the center of the party.

The high-resolution image of this panel contains about 50 million pixels. It was produced by combining 40 6-megapixel digital images. The dimensions of this panel were about 26.5 inches by 13 inches, so the sampling rate is about 380 pixels per inch (or 15 pixels per millimeter). We can produce images with about twice that sampling rate using the same process.
