Cameras and Lenses

We mostly use a Nikon D-100 digital camera with a Nikon 14mm lens. We also have a Sigma SD-1 digital camera with a Sigma 14mm lens and an older Nikon Coolpix 900 digital camera with a full-frame fisheye adapter.

VR Equipment

We have spherical tripod heads from Kaidan and Bogen / Manfrotto that we use for most panoramas. Virtual Reality Photography has a good review of spherical tripod heads. We also have a 360 One VR mirror attachment with an SLR mounting arm that we can use for quick, low-resolution panoramas.

Lighting

We have a Dedolight DLHM4-300 spot light that uses 24V 150W bulbs and produces a very even light with sharp edges, some very small color balanced Kino Flo flourescent lamps, and a Lowel light kit with 125W - 250W Pro lights and stands. In addition, we have various umbrellas, reflectors, fabrics, and other light-control equipment.

Computers

We have an IBM laptop computer and a Dell desktop computer with lots of software, including some that we produced. For stitching, we mostly use the RealViz Stitcher program, but we have found cases where the automated stitching could be improved, so we usually use Photoshop to edit the stitched panoramas.

Other Equipment

We use an Epson Stylus Photo 2200 printer and have various other camera accessories and equipment to mount cameras and lights.
